I’m back for the stuff that got my blog buzz: the play by play coverage of events. This draft however is kinda of a weak draft compared to last year.

1. LA Clippers select: Blake Griffin, Oklahoma.

This wasn’t a secret as all mock drafts had him going number one as he was the best player in college. I think he reminds me of Carlos Boozer but he needs to build some more upper body strength to play power forward with the style he has. He either does that or learn how play Small Forward.

2. Memphis Grizzlies select: Hasheem Thabeet, UCONN

I heard that Thabeet didn’t want to go to Memphis. I guess he’s going. Thabeet has always been overrated to me and I think he will get out muscled in the NBA.

3. OKC Thunder select: James Harden, Arizona St

Surprise pick as he might just be too high for a guy that will turn out to be a role player. It always happen but I might be wrong.

4. Sacramento Kings select: Tyreke Evans, Memphis

Dude is gonna be good. Just a shame that Calipari left cause Evans could’ve brought a national title to Memphis in two years.

5. Minnesota Timberwolves select: Ricky Rubio, Spain

Guy looked good in the Olympics and in highlights.

Sebastian Telfair is probably mad but will probably play.

6. Minnesota Timberwolves select: Johnny Flynn, Syracuse

Telfair has left Minnesota. Not only Flynn a PG but just better than Telfair. Book the plane ticket.

7. Golden St Warriors select: Stephen Curry, Davidson

The Garden Theater just shat on themselves. Curry looked destined to go for the Knicks but the Warriors are smart.

8. NY KNICKS select: Jordan Hill, Arizona

Feel sorry for the guy as he won’t get any love. Even Galinari had lovers to go against haters. Hill wasn’t watched by most. Hopefully he doesn’t flame out.

9. Toronto Raptors select: DeMar DeRozan, USC

Only one person can be heard as nobody heard about him. This woman sounds like he got shot in the face as she is screaming to the heavens.

10. Milwaukee Bucks select: Brandon Jennings, Compton/Italy

No surprise as he is the best player in the draft. Should’ve went to college as I saw on Real Sports piece on him that he only 5.5 ppg.

11. New Jersey Nets select: Terrence Williams, Louisville

Nice pick. Either him or Earl Clark would’ve been fine with me. This takes the place for the Vince Carter trade with Orlando earlier today. With Devin Harris, Rafer Alston, Courtney Lee; things are going to ben interesting at the Prudential Center. Umm… I mean the IZOD Center. *smh*

12. Charlotte Bobcats select: Gerald Henderson, Duke

Hopefully this Duke player does well. The Charlotte Bobcats are a mess of a team.

13. Indiana Pacers select: Tyler Hansbrough, UNC

I’m glad that he got to be a lottery pick. He works hard in college and probably go down as one of the best college players to play.

14. Phoenix Suns select: Earl Clark, Louisville

Good choice as they might run again as the Suns shipped Shaq to the Cavs. Amare Stoudamire might be shipped too but it would be foolish now to do it. Clark is the void that Shawn Marion left when they shipped him as that explosive wingman.

15. Detroit Pistons select: Austin Daye, Gonzaga

This boy is tall and skilled. They got another Tayshaun Prince on the team which is scary.

16. Chicago Bulls select: James Johnson, Wake Forest

Okay pick. Nothing else. Jay Bilas and Stu Scott just said he was a kickboxing champion and has great balance. Give Johnson 5 years and he will  be out of the league doing K-1 or doing MMA.

17. Philadephia 76ers select: Jrue Holiday, UCLA

They already got Andre Miller. So I guess he will be backing him up.

18. Minnesota Timberwolves (again) select: Ty Lawson, UNC

Telfair – GET YOUR ASS OUT OF MINNESOTA NOW!!!!!! AND TAKE KEVIN OLLIE WIT YOU!

Lawson, I think could be a starter of an NBA team right now. One of the best players I saw in person as I saw him play against Rutgers in Piscataway and just ripped that team a new one.

UPDATE: Ty Lawson is going to the Nuggets. They should’ve kept him and moved somebody else.

19. Atlanta Hawks select: Jeff Teague, Wake Forest

Another PG as this is a deep PG class.

20. Utah Jazz select: Eric Maynor, VCU

I never heard of him. Looks good in the highlights. I forgot he played well against Duke in NCAA tournament in 2007. Beat them with a last second shot.

Larry Brown is being interviewed about him and Jordan taking a Dukie with both of them being UNC guys. Now the NY audience is calling him an asshole.

Sidebar: Stop playing that Fabolous song : Its My Time

21. New Orleans Hornets select: Darren Collison, UCLA

Another guard. Didn’t really watch a lot of his games so I can’t gage what he will do with Chris Paul.

22. Portland Trailblazers select: Victor Claver, Spain

ESPN is saying he is got lottery pick talent. However, he ain’t coming to the League probably in 3 years. So that means that he ain’t ready.

They got Shaq on the line to talk to Lisa Saunders. Thank GOD for Shaq as he was the first one to send his condolences to the Jackson family as everybody knows that the great Michael Jackson passing away. Bravo to Shaq. ESPN didn’t even to play his songs instead they playing the corny Fabolous song. *smh*

23. Sacramento Kings select: Omri Casspi, Israel

David Stern was giggling as he knows that he either can’t pronounce his name or knew that NY would love that an Isreali is going to be playing.

Here’s some highlights

24. Dallas Mavericks select: BJ Mullens, Ohio State

OK. Haven’t heard of him.

25. OKC Thunder select: Rodrigue Beaubois, Guadeloupe

Stern is just butchering his name and country.

UPDATE: Dallas and OKC are swapping players.

26. Chicago Bulls select: Taj Gibson, USC

The Left Coast is getting love tonight as another USC guy goes.

Read on the Big Lead that Rubio’s agent is trying to get him to go to NY.

27. Memphis Grizzlies (again) select: DeMarre Carroll, Missouri

I liked him in the Tourney. I’m wondering why DeJuan Blair is still on the board.

28. Minnesota Timberwolves (4th time again) select: Wayne Ellington, UNC

They got more draft picks than the New England Patriots this year. David Stern chant in the MSG theater. 1st time I remember hearing that chant.

Good pick as he can shoot. Shaky at times but Minnesota will like him.

29. World Champion LA Lakers select: Tony Douglas, Florida State

Andy Katz says that the Knicks paid them in cash for the pick. Also, the Grizzlies are trading Darko Milicic for Quentin Richardson. What?

Last time I checked, Darko Sucks. Why is the ESPN liking the trade?

AND IS STUART SCOTT WEARING A TONED DOWN FO’HAWK?

30. Cleveland Lebrons select: Christain Eyenga, Congo

Another international player that is coming from the cheap seats to shake Stern’s hand.

Will somebody tell ESPN that their mics are on! I haven’t heard more dead air on television since …

FIRST ROUND ENDS

SECOND ROUND

31. Sacramento Kings select: Jeff Pendergraph, Arizona State

And Adam Silver chant? This shit is getting ridiculous.

32. Washington Wizards select: Jermaine Taylor, UCF

Oh shit, he evens looks like the boxer as little bit.

33. Portland Trailblazers select: Dante Cunningham, Villanova

Finally, Nova guy is getting some love. Kinda overshadowed by the other players on the team but is a good player.

34. Denver Nuggets select: Sergio Lull, Spain

35. Detroit Pistons select: DeJuan Summers, Georgetown

ESPN didn’t even announce what the Nuggets did. Wait, it was because of the Ty Lawson trade. I stand corrected. Wait no I don’t, they just didn’t annouce it.

36. Memphis Grizzlies select: Sam Young, Pitt

Stu Scott asks why Rod Thorn traded away Vince Carter to Orlando. In perfect timing, a fan yells ,”CAUSE HE SUCKS!!!!”

Young is a good choice. This draft reminds me of the NfL Draft as all the good players get picked later in the draft.

37. San Antonio Spurs select: DeJuan Blair, Pitt

Lighting strikes twice as a Pitt player goes. Blair is good and the Spurs got a fucking steal. Gregg Popovich got him another toy along with Richard Jefferson this month.

38. Portland Trailblazers select: John Brockman, Washington

39. Detroit Pistons select: Jonas Jerebko, Sweden

ESPN needs Stephen A Smith to come back cause this draft is dull.

40. Charlotte Bobcats select: Derrick Brown, Xavier

Wizards sell Jermaine Taylor for straight cash homie

41. Milwaukee Bucks select: Jodie Meeks, Kentucky

Hey! I know this guy. This guy scored 54 points in a game during this season. Why is this guy not going in the 1st round?

42. La Lakers select: Patrick Beverly

Fabolous is probably getting sick of his own song as ESPN is playing the hell out of it. Even the KNANN song for the NFL Network Draft coverage didn’t get that spins.

UPDATE: Rubio ain’t getting dealt by the Timberwolves. Courtesy of the Big Lead.

This the 3rd time they used the Junk Yard Dog label on a player. When did that started to be used *smh*

43. Miami Heat select: Marcus Thornton, LSU

44. Detroit Pistons select: Chase Budinger, Arizona

Whatever Dick Vitale is on, I want some

TRADE: Sergio Lull is traded from the Nuggets to Houston for straight cash homie.

Surprised that Budinger was drafted this late.

45. Minnesota Timberwolves select: Nick Calathes, Florida

Calathes got a contract in Greece so they don’t need him.

46. Cleveland Cavs select: Danny Green, UNC

Did they kick out everybody out of the theater of MSG. It sounds so fucking quiet.

Perfect role player that will fit in the LeBron system. They need a spot up shooter. Plus he can dance. The Cavs will probably be on that MTV show, America’s Best Dance Crew.

47. Minnesota Timberwolves select: Hank Norel, Netherlands

Come on down! Hank is in the house for the NBA Draft version of the Price is Right.

48. Phoenix Suns select: Taylor Griffin, Oklahoma

Big brother of Number 1 picks falls to 48.

49. Atlanla Hawks select: Sergey Glayor, Ukraine

50. Utah Jazz select: Goran Suton, Michigan State

51. San Antonio Spurs select: Jack McClinton, Miami

Boy can shoot and score. A must watch player.

52. Indiana Pacers select: AJ Price, UCONN

Another surprise that he slipped this low.

53. San Antonio Spurs select: Nando De Colo

54. Charlotte Bobcats select:  Robert Vaden

55. Portland Trailblazers select: Patrick Mills

56. Dallas Mavericks select: Ahmad Nivins

57. Phoenix Suns select:Emir Preldzic

58. Boston Celtics select: Lester Hudson

59: LA Lakers select: Chinemelu Elonu

60. Miami Heat select: Robert Dozier
