I’m sorry for being away for a while but I’ve been busy. (Remember, I’m a college student during finals)
Now, back to the big show. If you have not been watching the NBA playoffs which some have called awful to watch but those people are just going think low about everything in the NBA. It has been hard to watch these games especially with the Eastern Conference Playoffs but you have to watch it for the entertaining tidbits throughout the games. Last Night, LeBron James showed why he is one the best by helping bringing the Cavs to a 2-2 series tie while shooting horribly. However, his dunk late in the game and his mother were the most talked about aspects from last night’s game.
His dunk was an amazing site to see as Kevin Harlen was great as he called his famous “no regard for human life” line. This might be the spark that LeBron needs as the boston Celtics have put the strangle hold on James for all four games defensively. On the other hand, the most troubling is the treatment his mother is getting including from her own son. After a foul by Paul Pierce that almost started a scuffle between James and Pierce, Gloria James tried to help out. Her past does not matter, she is mother that is worried about her son. And she gets greeted with a “Sit Yo Ass Down” by King James.
Both views can be explained. As a competitor, James was in the heat of a playoff game and the last thing he wants to do is see his mother in the middle of a tussle. The vision of his mother taking the role of Jeff Van Gundy from the infamous fight years ago only to be on the back of Kevin Garnett.
Gloria James is a mother, first. A defensive mother at that as she is a young single mother. Anybody who knows young single mothers have the knowledge of those women needing to have an edge. If they don’t, both she and her children will get run over. Gloria James did what she had to. It is unfortunate that she had to be yelled for it.
This is the foul.
And the dunk
